American Family Insurance donates Lion King tickets to American Family Children's Hospital patient families

Madison, Wis. (April 28, 2010) — American Family Children's Hospital patients and their families will enjoy the award-winning best musical, "The Lion King" during its highly anticipated appearances at the Overture Center, with 40 tickets donated by American Family Insurance.

Families whose children are patients at the hospital were invited to submit their names for a drawing of five tickets each given to eight families.

One of the winning parents of a child being treated for cancer expressed her gratitude for the chance to have a fun family evening out, after her daughter endured two major brain surgeries, chemotherapy and six hospital stays in the past eight months.

American Family and its employees donated more than $15 million dollars to help build the American Family Children's Hospital, which opened its doors in 2007.
