Madison, Wis. (Dec 6, 2010) —American Family Insurance will help make the season bright for children in need by pledging up to $25,000 to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation as part of a holiday promotion on Facebook.
During the holiday season, for every Facebook user that "likes" American Family Insurance on Facebook, the company will donate $1 to the Toys for Tots organization, up to $25,000.
In 2009, Marines distributed 16.3 million toys to more than 7.4 million children.
"Toys for Tots delivers a message of hope to less fortunate children through the gift of a new toy at Christmas," said Major Bill Grein, USMC (Ret.), vice president of marketing and development for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, headquartered in Triangle,Va.
"Through their generous donations, companies like American Family Insurance make it possible for us to answer the needs of struggling families," he said. "Without this support, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to assist the many families who depend on us to help bring smiles to their children's faces on Christmas morning."
