Arizona Auto Rates Reduced

Arizona auto insurance customers to pay less

American Family Mutual Insurance Company began lowering Arizona auto insurance rates an average of 5.9 percent starting March 1, saving its Arizona auto insurance customers $13.7 million.

American Family's standard auto insurance subsidiary, American Standard Insurance Company, also lowered rates an average of 7.3 percent, saving Arizona customers an additional $2.4 million.

American Family is the fifth-largest insurer of private passenger cars in Arizona.

Changes in auto insurance premium amounts will vary based upon geographic area, coverages purchased and type of vehicle, among other factors. On average, costumers who purchase full coverage, including the comprehensive and collision coverages, will experience the greatest savings. Customers who purchase only the liability coverages may experience a premium increase.

Price is just one component of the value customers seek from their auto insurance company. Customers also should consider whether a company provides the personalized service of an agent, outstanding claim service, a broad array of quality products and the financial security to stand behind its products.
