Your bank account and routing numbers can be found at the bottom of your check. The 9-digit routing transit number appears on the bottom left of your check between the colon symbols. This number is used by the Federal Reserve Bank to route checks and deposits to the correct financial institution.
The exact location of your checking account number and the number of digits can vary from each financial institution, but can usually be located to the right of your routing transit number.
The sample check below shows where the numbers can be found.
